Programming Production Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, board, key consultants and community partners on curating, scheduling and executing public programming at the Muddy Waters MOJO Museum and the MOJO Healing Garden and Performance Center including concerts, classes, discussions, and more.

  • Identify and meet with artists, teaching artists and other potential participants in public programming at the MOJO Museum and the MOJO Healing Garden and Performance Center.

  • Contract participants of public programming at the MOJO Museum and the MOJO Healing Garden and Performance Center.

  • Create the programming schedule for all public programming at the MOJO Museum and the MOJO Healing Garden and Performance Center.

  • Engage technicians and other support staff needed for the successful production of all public programming at the MOJO Museum and the MOJO Healing Garden and Performance Center.

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, Administrative and Marketing Coordinator, and key consultants to create a marketing strategy to promote public programming at the MOJO Museum and the MOJO Healing Garden and Performance Center.

  • Work with the Executive Director, Strategic Consultant on the development of grant applications to support public programming at the MOJO Museum and the MOJO Healing Garden and Performance Center.

  • Work with existing producing partners and develop new partnerships to create and produce public programming  at the MOJO Museum and the MOJO Healing Garden and Performance Center.

  • Acting as a liaison for artists and program participants.

  • The Programming Production Coordinator position is a part time position reporting to the Executive Director. 

  • Annual Salary: $10,000.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts or related field.

  • Curation and producing experience.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of Chicago’s music scene.

  • A high level of attention to detail.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Good organization skills.

  • Related job and internship experience.
